Automation becomes orchestration
A script usually knows exactly what step comes next. An agentic workflow can be given an objective, inspect context, choose from allowed tools, perform work and ask for approval when the decision is sensitive or uncertain.
For commerce, that could mean inspecting a product file, identifying bad records, verifying data, generating improvements, presenting exceptions and then updating approved changes through an API. The value is not the chatbot interface; it is coordinated action.
A living biography, not a finished one
This chapter is intentionally open. The path from Excel to AI was not planned at the beginning, and the next part will be documented the same way: after the work becomes real.
The constant has been the method — understand the operation, find the bottleneck, learn what is required, build the system and then test it against real scale. This story will continue as the businesses, products and technology continue to change.
