Gergeant is a Next.js utility platform spanning PDF, image, calculator, networking, business and productivity tools, with ongoing work around SEO, accounts, browser/server processing and AI.
A different kind of catalog
Gergeant looks different from ecommerce, but many of the operating lessons transfer. A platform with many utilities needs consistent navigation, quality control, search visibility, analytics, mobile UX and a repeatable way to add new products — in this case, tools rather than SKUs.
Building it has involved working through real product problems: broken conversions, browser limitations, server processing, account features, deployment failures, SEO architecture and the need to keep the experience simple despite a growing feature set.
From commerce systems to software products
The significance of Gergeant is not only the individual tools. It marks a shift from using software to operate businesses toward building software as the business itself.
That shift made product engineering, user experience, reliability and distribution first-class concerns — and created a natural place for the next layer of AI capabilities.
