Founder chapter

Then the work became physical.

Products, stock, packaging, customers and cash flow turned ecommerce into an operating business.

Scale / context
The early operation grew from roughly ₹1 lakh per month toward the ₹4–6 lakh monthly range before the later marketplace scale became much larger.

Gifts Loft became an early serious ecommerce venture. The work covered product selection, listings, pricing, stock, packaging, customer operations and selling through Indian marketplaces.

Learning the whole loop

Running a physical ecommerce business meant learning the parts that are invisible on a storefront. A product had to be sourced or made, costed, photographed or presented, listed correctly, stocked, packed, shipped and supported after the sale.

That end-to-end exposure is important to how I work today. When I build automation for a catalog or a storefront, I understand that the data eventually affects a warehouse, an advertisement, a customer expectation and a real order.

Growth made process matter

As monthly sales increased, memory and informal processes stopped being enough. Repetition created a need for better product files, clearer inventory handling, more consistent listing work and repeatable routines.

This was the first major transition from simply selling products to thinking about how an operation should be designed.
